As an Interaction Designer at IDEO.org, I contributed to the "Mothers x Mothers" project, which aims to build a supportive network for refugee and immigrant mothers.
As an Interaction Designer at IDEO.org, I contributed to the "Mothers x Mothers" project, which aims to build a supportive network for refugee and immigrant mothers.
In my role, I designed engaging and intuitive interactions for meetups, ensuring a user-friendly and accessible experience for all participants. I also created design activities for design research, developed brand directions that we shared and iterated with our co-designers, and created custom illustrations and final assets for deliverables.
We have created a detailed guide that outlines the structure, tools, and strategies for organizing practical meetups to build a strong sense of community and belonging. In the winter of 2021, we conducted a trial run of our prototype with mothers in Decatur, Georgia. We received valuable feedback from this trial, which we used to improve our final package.
This project has deepened my understanding of the power of design in creating social impact and has reinforced the importance of empathy in interaction design.
